G-Cloud 2020

G-Cloud Results 2020

This year’s G-Cloud applications were a little delayed due to obvious reasons, however applications have now been scored and here at Frameworker we're delighted to report another year of 100% success on behalf of our clients.

WHAT IS THE G-CLOUD?

The G-Cloud is a framework set up by the government’s Crown Commercial Services (CCS) to identify suppliers of technology, software, and IT services in the market covering all things cloud related. Its purpose is to provide buyers, like local councils, NHS trusts, universities etc, with quick and easy access to a qualified supplier list. The CCS have run this framework for a number of years and the latest iteration, G-Cloud 12, will shortly be going live.

Suppliers will be listed on the framework with profile pages relating to each service or product that they offer. This will include a description of the offering, pricing and any specific terms and conditions that will apply.

We’ve created a short video explaining what the G-Cloud framework is and how it works.

HOW DID FRAMEWORKER DO?

This year Frameworker managed to support clients and secure 12 successful G-Cloud applications, beating last year’s score of 10/10 applications. This year the applications covered a number of different software offerings as well as cloud-based consultancy services.

For suppliers within the information technology industry, the G-Cloud is an essential framework to be a part of. Buyers often consult the G-Cloud as one of their first ports of call when looking for suppliers within this area of the cosmos. If you’re not on it, your company might be overlooked.

Having a profile within this framework ensures that our clients will appear in searches conducted by public sector buyers. Our services involved designing bespoke profile page content, using specific and unique terminology to help meet all of the typical keyword search terms that might be used by buyers, whilst providing identifiable and distinguishable terminology to help isolate their profiles and improve their chances of being the sole qualifying supplier. This has the benefit of buyers being able to compliantly directly award a contract to our clients, without the need for further information or competition.

Unfortunately G-Cloud applications are now closed, however the next version (G-Cloud 13) will likely start the application process in spring 2021. If you’re interested in finding out more about the G-Cloud or are looking to take part in next year’s application, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via our contact us page. We’re happy to answer any queries you may have.

UPDATE

When is G-Cloud 13 coming out? I keep getting asked this question by many new clients. Crown Commercial Services have recently notified all suppliers currently on the G-Cloud 12 framework that the framework will be extended for a further year. It was originally due to end on 27 September 2021 but will be extended until 27 September 2022. This means applications will likely open 3 to 6 months before this date (around spring 2022). Check out https://www.crowncommercial.gov.uk/agreements/upcoming for further updates or have a look at https://www.crowncommercial.gov.uk/agreements/RM1557.13 for more details about what will and won't be included in this framework.
